Carrefour Belgium is looking forward to hiring an IT Business Analyst Stores with relevant experience in retail, preferably in the FrontEnd / Customer Interaction Area.  Previous experience in this sector would be a big plus.

 

Job Description

 

Carrefour Belgium wants to broaden the in-house knowledge of solutions covering the Customer Interaction area (Point of Sales, Payment Solutions, Scales, E-commerce, Electronic Shelf Labels, Selfscanning, Digital Signage,...) in order to cope with major current and future challenges, delivering our users and customers the best possible experience.

Our new colleague will focus on supporting IT projects, demands and support the roll out of the above mentioned solutions at Carrefour Belgium, together with internal staff and external suppliers and by doing this, be a reference on many solutions. 
We are actively renewing our core POS solution in 700+ stores, replacing ESL, migrating Selfscan Solutions to the Cloud,... . Challenges which, amongst many others, complete a nicely filled roadmap, continuously extended with new exciting ideas, improving customer experience and stepping into the future or Retail.

 

As an IT Business Analyst Stores, you will be responsible for analysing the end to end business requirements, from data loading processes, the customer experience in all of its forms, up to the processes of provisioning output data required for Back Office processes (financial, reporting) among others :

 

  • Work closely with the product managers to bring up business needs for the roadmap.
  • Evaluate the change requests of important users and business process owners, suggest solutions and implement and / or coordinate the changes.
  • Work on change requests with the external partners.
  • Participate or take charge of the organization and coordination of analysis workshops on large projects.
  • Guaranteeing the translation of the specifications to both the development and testing organisation. Take away any questions, doubts.
  • Participate in meetings with other departments providing guidance and IT insights of future development to improve and optimize the solutions and processes.
  • Supporting and leading the prioritization of conflicting changes and demands. In case of a bigger project, this will be in collaboration with the assigned Project of Program Manager.
  • Checking together with the Project/Program Manager the link between the requests and the roadmap and the foreseen budgets. If not existing, take appropriate action, to align with governance regulations and allow corrective actions.
  • Analyze functional and technical designs, evaluate the nature of the solution (cost effectiveness, functional and technical fit of the solution) and support its development.
  • Contribution to the integration of other non-stores projects.Creating detailed documentation on new and existing functionalities.
  • Bringing best practices, making processes as efficient as possible.
  • Support or Design the knowledge management strategy of the overall Stores solutions (functional, technical, configuration designs, … ).
  • Generate the project's functional document repository.
  • Maintenance of the stability of the applications, lead and follow up relevant actions as for stability improvements, including regular interactions with the technical teams (infrastructure, architecture, security), problem management follow up, root cause analysis.
  • Be involved in implementation projects: GAP analysis, developments, adjustments, testing, training, user acceptance, go-live.

 

Your Profile

 

  • You hold a relevant degree in economics or science, with the option of IT or similar through experience.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of the configuration of the Store Checkout processes and are extremely interested in other topics related to the customer experience (like ESL, Scales,...).
  • Understanding of best practices, trends and technologies within the Stores area.
  • You have an eye for detail. (Retail = detail.)
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and you’re able to prioritize.
  • You are customer oriented, with excellent communication skills, capable to defend your ideas, but open to listen to others as well.
  • You are capable of managing intercompany contacts in which you defend Carrefour interest.
  • You’re fluent in Dutch and English or in French and English.
  • You’re flexible to deal with (occasional) work outside of office hours.
  • You’re eager to learn and you have a huge appetite for innovative technologies and changing trends in the market.
  • You don’t like hiding in a comfort zone.
  • You have a positive and accountable mindset.
  • You value the true meaning of team objectives.
