IT - DIGITAL SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST

 


The retail industry is rapidly changing and so is the IT landscape at Carrefour Belgium.  Topics like mobile solutions, digital & e-commerce, real time data integration, big data, digital marketing, hybrid sales devices, mobile payments, loyalty programs, identity management, … have our greatest attention these days.
To manage this constant change and to cope with our challenges, we are looking forward to hiring a creative DIGITAL SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST embracing the digital strategy of the organization and delivering projects with Agile Scrum methodologies and value to the Business.
Our ideal candidate is an e-commerce expert familiar with front-end applications (mobile solutions, e-commerce websites, CIAM, marketing websites, customer service solutions, store locator solutions, loyalty programs …) as well as with back-end applications (promotions engine, cronjobs, related DB’s, API gateway, search engines,...) and integrating both through means of an ESB or API’s.
The responsibilities of a Digital Senior Business Analyst at Carrefour include the following ones, but may slightly vary depending on your level of seniority and the extra value you can add:

 

Requirements Gathering and Analysis

  • Gather functional and non-functional business requirements related to digital applications
  • Identify & propose business improvements.
  • Perform the functional analysis of these requirements over the different application components.
  • Gap analysis.
  • Transform the analysis into written specifications or User Stories that will be the basis for refinement and grooming sessions.
  • Assist in writing and execution of test cases.
  • Ensure correct and complete documentation of requests and analysis.
  • Ensure business support for the choices made.
  • Federate the organization about the choices made.

 


Project Tasks

 

  • Interaction with the project leaders, product owners, IT architects and senior IT technical designers.
  • Ensure timely delivery of prerequisites (designs, acceptance criteria, …) required for successful sprint delivery..
  • Challenge the estimations (time and budget) handed in by the implementation partners.
  • Project planning and execution: participate in the project management process, including participation in project meetings. Document issues, action items, user requirements, or deliverables from project meetings.
  • Ensure a global vision and follow-up of the evolution initiatives (roadmap, branching strategy, testing, analyses of the other Business Analysts,...)
  • Ensure a good collaboration with our external (development) partners for Digital applications.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted within Agile/Scrum standards and follow them up.

 

 

Application Support

 

  • Ensure and improve the stability of the applications, leading and following up relevant actions towards stability improvements, including regular interactions with the technical teams (infrastructure, architecture, security, ...), problem management follow up, root cause analysis.
  • Be the main point of contact for ongoing support requests and coordination with the appropriate teams.
  • Collaborate closely with the support teams. 
  • Business User/Owner Application Support: Provide the basic analysis enabling 2nd and 3rd tier application support for assigned applications.
  • Assist in resolving technical and functional issues according to defined prioritization / severity scheme.
  • Monitor production data integration processes, ensuring the required availability.
  • Maintenance of the knowledge base.
  • Some flexibility in working hours during implementations is required.

 

 

Your Profile

 

  • You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business management, economics or applied science, with option IT.
  • You have at least 5 to 8 years of relevant (consulting) experience.
  • E-commerce experience is a must. SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) knowledge is a plus. 
  • You are goal oriented, set high personal standards of performance, seek out new challenges and initiate activities.
  • You are a team player, involve others, share knowledge and seek opportunities for cross functional working and collaboration.
  • You understand potential impacts on cross functional processes.
  • You are fluent in English and Dutch or in English and French.
  • You have a strong interest in retail distribution. Experience in this industry is a plus.
  • You combine an analytical mind with strong communication and leadership skills.
  • You are eager to learn and you have an appetite for innovative technologies and changing trends in the retail market.
  • You are familiar with Agile/Scrum. Any certification is a plus.
