If you are hired at Carrefour Belgium, you are part of a team of around 10,000 motivated employees, spread over around 800 stores and the head office. Carrefour Belgium is one of the most renowned retailers in Belgium with different store formats / concepts: Carrefour Hypermarkets, Carrefour Market and Carrefour Express.


Project Manager (new article management)

In order to prepare the implementation of future processes and new tools in stores Carrefour will change the process of article and assortment management executed in individual stores. Other projects will be based on this new article management afterwards.

This will impact especially the franchise stores who manage their specific assortment themselves.

The entrepreneurship and the independence of franchisees remains the foundation in the future although some processes will be more streamlined to create efficiency.

To deploy these new article management in stores Carrefour is looking for a business project manager.

As a New Article Management PM, you main tasks will be

  • PLANNING: Responsible for formulating a plan to meet the objectives of the project while adhering to an approval budget and timeline. 
  • EXECUTION: Participate in and supervise the successful execution of each stage of the projects. 
  • TIME MANAGEMENT: Time management is crucial for the security projects. Responsible for resolving them and communicating effectively with the team members and other stakeholders to ensure the projects stays on track. 
  • BUDGET: Devising the budget for the security projects. 
  • DOCUMENTATION: measure and analyze the progress of the projects to ensure it is developing as planned. 
  • MAINTENANCE: Creating a plan to implement the security projects in the RUN Team. 

Your Profile

  • You hold a relevant degree in IT, engineering, or a related field.
  • You have at least 8 years of relevant experience as a PM.
  • You have at least 3 years of relevant experience in security.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of functional designs
  • Analytically strong & solution-oriented
  • Proven affinity with business understanding
  • Knowledge of the retail market and interest in Carrefour's business
  • Technical affinity, but knows how to make the translation for the customer with your communication skills
  • Stress resistant and can flexibly anticipate peak times
  • Dutch or French mother tongue
  • Good spoken and written knowledge of the second national language
  • Basic knowledge of English is required
