Carrefour Belgium is looking forward to hiring an OnSite IT Service Agent, to provide onsite IT support in our stores (supermarkets) and warehouses.

 

As an OnSite IT Service Agent, you’ll be dealing with a broad range of IT related incidents, going from hardware repair or hardware replacement, to basic network troubleshooting and issues with software / applications.

 

General tasks and responsibilities of an Onsite IT Service Agent are among others:

  • The responsibility to solve IT related technical problems in a timely manner, and provide suitable fixes.
  • Choose between remote fixes or on-site interventions, based on your judgment and the judgement of your direct supervisor.
  • Comply with predefined SLA’s, when doing onsite interventions.
  • Take ownership of the local problem and of the solution:
    • -> Link the incident to the root cause, and decide about next steps. 
    • -> Decide about concrete support actions that must be taken, execute these actions yourself, or escalate to 3th line specialists.
    • -> Give comprehensible and informative feedback to the 1st and 2nd line helpdesk agents, and in some cases directly to your internal customer.
  • Close collaboration with other colleagues at Carrefour and with external parties / service providers.
  • Help optimizing internal processes and procedures.
  • Listen to your internal customers, put them at the heart of the action, meet their expectations and anticipate their future needs.  Make customer satisfaction a permanent point of attention.

 

Your Profile

 

  • Minimum high school degree, preferably with additional courses in the field of information technology.
  • Approximately 4 years of experience as a 1st line Onsite IT Support Engineer, or equivalent by experience.
  • Experience with supporting hardware and software in a retail environment would be a very big plus.
  • You are able to judge the impact of a technical failure on the store owner’s business, as well as on Carrefour’s overall business in case of IT problems in warehouses.
  • You are stress resistant, able to anticipate peak times.
  • Fluency in Dutch and French.  Able to communicate in English as well.
