IT Business Analyst - Merchandising - Supply Chain 

Carrefour Belgium is looking forward to hiring a Business Analyst Merchandising  - Supply Chain with relevant experience in SAP Retail or similar IT Supply Chain Solutions.  Previous work experience in sectors such as retail, logistics, production or industry will be considered as a big plus.


The tasks and responsibilities of an IT Business Analyst Merchandising Supply Chain include the following ones, but may slightly vary depending on your level of seniority and the extra value you can add:

Enable further roll-out of SAP Supply Chain solution(s) for Carrefour Belgium, in close collaboration with internal colleagues and external suppliers.

Entire Plan to Inventory and Forecast to Delivery process cycles:

  • Demand Planning.
  • Forecast to Plan (Forecast & Replenishment).
  • Stores Demand Processing.
  • Safety Stock Planning.
  • Supply and Demand Matching.
  • Detailed Scheduling.
  • Ship to Receive.
  • Transport Management (Planning, Execution).
  • Order and Delivery Scheduler (ODS)


Warehouse Management:

  • Inbound Processing & Receipt Confirmation.
  • Outbound Processing.
  • Cross Docking.
  • Warehousing and Storage.
  • Physical Inventory.


Strategic Supply Chain Design.


Supply Chain Analytics.

Work to improve and maintain the stability of the applications, leading and following up relevant actions towards stability improvements, including regular interactions with the technical teams (infrastructure, architecture, security), problem management follow up, root cause analysis.


Operational Tasks

You evaluate the change requests of important users and business process owners, suggest solutions and implement and/or coordinate the changes.

  • You analyze functional and technical designs, evaluate the nature of the solution (cost effectiveness, functional and technical fit of the solution) and support its development.
  • You contribute proactively to improvements that benefit the business.
  • You work on change requests with the partners.
  • You are involved in SAP implementation projects: GAP analysis, Developments, Adjustments, Testing, Training, User Acceptance, Go-live.
  • You are responsible for documenting the business processes.


Your Profile

  • You hold a master’s degree in economics or science, with option of IT.  Or a bachelor’s degree combined with relevant work experience.
  • You have at least 2 years of relevant experience in the domain of Supply Chain.
  • You have an overall knowledge of SAP.  ECC 6.0 functionalities are a plus.
  • S/4Hana Retail for Merchandise Management, SAP F&R, SAP CAR, SAP Fiori Cloud and SAP Mobile In Store Management Solutions are tools that Carrefour uses.  Previous experience with these tools are a very big plus.
  • You’re eager to understand the goals and objectives of the organization and are motivated and focused, with an eye for detail.
  • You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are able to effectively prioritize and carry out tasks in a demanding environment.
  • You are customer oriented, with excellent communication skills, capable to defend your ideas, but open to listen to others as well.
  • You’re fluent in Dutch and English or in French and English.
  • You’re eager to learn and you have a huge appetite for innovative technologies and changing trends in the market.
  • You have a positive and accountable mindset.
  • You value the true meaning of team objectives.
