At Carrefour, the mission of our IT Governance department is to be a Center of Excellence. We strive to keep all IT projects and operations under control while accompanying our people to achieve Carrefour’s strategic goals. We are looking for an experienced leader to oversee our IT Contracts, Vendors & Sourcing (CVS) organization while taking dedicated ownership of our Software Asset Management (SAM) strategy.
The Role
As the IT Contract, Vendor & Software Asset Manager, you will be a functional cornerstone of our IT Governance, where influence and functional leadership are paramount. You will be responsible for supporting and enabling IT projects and operations by providing a secure and optimized contractual and software licensing environment.
Operating in close collaboration with Procurement, Legal, Finance, HR, and Risk Management, you will manage a large portfolio of approximately 450 vendor contracts and 100 sourcing suppliers. You will also drive the department toward compliance, ethics, and financial efficiency while leading a direct team of 4 professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Team & Vendor Leadership

Define, staff, and supervise the CVS team to deliver on agreed-upon goals.

Manage complex, high-risk, high-value contracts and subcontracts in accordance with Carrefour policies and applicable laws.

Establish sourcing panel strategies, support the RFP process and negotiations, and implement performant onboarding for new suppliers.

Follow up on supplier performance by establishing and monitoring relevant SLAs and KPIs, focusing on quality and cost-efficiency.

Oversee IT HR Sourcing Operations, maintaining a strong governance framework for supplier competence, capacity, and rate benchmarking.
Software Asset Management (SAM) & Contract Lifecycle

Software Optimization & Compliance (External Knowledge): Act as the subject matter expert for software licensing. Manage the full lifecycle of software assets to ensure legal compliance, mitigate audit risks, and optimize software spend by eliminating shelfware.

Audit Defense (External Knowledge): Lead software publisher audits and manage the resolution of any compliance disputes.

Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all contracts and software assets, ensuring they are aligned with the budget and long-term strategy, and distribute this information regularly to stakeholders.

Secure contract renewals, manage termination processes, and control changes to prevent "shadow IT" and related financial/operational risks.
Strategy, Finance & Purchasing

Function as an instrumental member of the Contract & Assets Governance board, breaking down silos across IT, Procurement, Legal, and Finance.

Manage end-to-end contracting and sourcing efforts, ensuring that work aligns with business cases and adds relevant value to Carrefour's strategy.

Take accountability for the IT Purchasing & Payments operations, including Purchase Requests, Purchase Orders, and invoicing alignment with Finance.

Continuously improve our supplier management maturity and identify new ways to prevent risks or generate smart savings.
Your Profile

Education & Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree with 5-10 years of experience in a Contract/Vendor Management or Software Asset Management role within the IT infrastructure sector for large corporate companies.

Technical Expertise: Profound knowledge of IT services, IT infrastructure, and deep expertise in software licensing models (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, SaaS platforms) (External Knowledge).

Core Skills: Strong Project Management and Bid Management skills, coupled with solid financial acumen for working in contract and legal environments.

Leadership: Natural ability to connect, influence, and federate people. You possess strong managerial courage and can inspire peers, team members, and vendors.

Mindset: You embody the "Act for Change" competencies: strong customer orientation, collaboration, result orientation, and the ability to act simply and quickly.

Languages: Native speaker level in Dutch or French, and a professional command of English.
