If so, we're looking for a talented and motivated Cloud Solution Architect to join our team!

In this role, you'll play a key part in driving our Digital Retailer strategy by architecting and guiding the implementations of new applications and refactoring existing ones on Google Cloud (GCP).

You'll collaborate closely with fellow Cloud Architects, developers, engineers, and product managers to translate business needs into robust, scalable and efficient cloud architectures.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Google cloud platform, as well as experience designing and transferring applications to the cloud.
 

Job Description

We are on the hunt for a talented Google Cloud software Architect to design our company's cloud architecture.

As a Google Cloud Architect, you play a strategic role and are responsible for the cloud design of different projects.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Google cloud platform, as well as experience designing and transferring applications to the cloud.

You should have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills to effectively share your knowledge.

As a cloud solution Architect, You'll :

• Oversee architecture governance: Implement and enforce architecture standards, policies, and best practices.
• Take charge of discussions, workshops and brainstorming sessions with our clients, and you’ll sum up your advice in architectural designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solution architectures.
• Design and guide the refactoring of existing applications in a Cloud Native manner.
• Select and optimize GCP services based on performance, cost, security, and scalability considerations
• Design and implement new cloud-native applications on GCP, leveraging services like Kubernetes, Apigee, BigQuery, Cloud Spanner, and others.
• Participate in performance and scalability testing of cloud solutions

Your Profile

• Master degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or relevant field
• 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Solution Architect or similar role
• Experience with Domain Driven Design, Hexagonal architecture, SOA and CQRS.
• Experience designing and deploying microservices in a composable architecture
• Experience with both API-driven as well as Event-driven architectures.
• Deep understanding of Cloud technologies and architectures
• Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work.
• Excellent collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to effectively lead a team of engineers
• Strong skills in cloud security and compliance best practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for learning and staying up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies
• Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated cloud designs to management and other IT development partners.
• Capability to communicate fluently in Dutch & English or French
